In Colorado, Meat Cleaver, a meat processor, partners with hunters to donate excess venison, elk, and other wild game to local food banks, combating food insecurity. Funded by Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry (FHFH), the program reduces waste and provides healthy protein to vulnerable families. While currently limited to Meat Cleaver, the program has successfully donated thousands of pounds of meat, receiving community praise.
