Classicide: The Deliberate Destruction of a Social Class

Sociologist Michael Mann's concept of 'classicide' describes the deliberate and systematic destruction of a social class through persecution and violence. Unlike genocide, which targets a group based on ethnicity, classicide targets a group defined by its social status, and unlike politicide, it's not concerned with political activity.
