MIT Creates Periodic Table of Machine Learning Algorithms, Predicting Future AI

MIT researchers have developed a 'periodic table' of machine learning, connecting over 20 classical algorithms. This framework reveals how to fuse strategies from different methods to improve existing AI or create new ones. They combined elements of two algorithms to build a new image classification algorithm, outperforming state-of-the-art by 8%.
