Microsoft Makes Copilot Chat Free for Business Users

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote now include a Copilot Chat sidebar for drafting documents, analyzing spreadsheets, and more. While this free version offers helpful features, a $30/month per-user license unlocks premium capabilities such as file uploads, image generation, and access to the latest technology like GPT-5, ensuring faster responses and higher availability. Microsoft will also integrate sales, service, and finance Copilots into the Microsoft 365 Copilot subscription in October, potentially lowering costs for some businesses.
