Ancient Curse Tablet Unearthed in French Roman Cemetery

Archaeologists in Orléans, France, unearthed a Roman-era cemetery containing over 60 male burials and 21 lead curse tablets. One tablet, inscribed in the extinct Gaulish language, invokes the Roman god of war, Mars, to curse individuals named within the text.
