Tinnitus After a Concert: A Cautionary Tale

I developed permanent tinnitus after attending an electronic music show last November. Initially, I was careless about hearing protection, assuming any discomfort would be temporary. This time, it wasn't. Now loud sounds physically hurt, and I find myself acting like a concerned parent, reminding friends to wear helmets and reflective vests.
