EU Launches OpenEuroLLM: A €37.4M Push for European AI Sovereignty

OpenEuroLLM, a collaborative AI project involving 20 organizations across the EU, officially launched on February 3, 2025. Backed by €37.4 million (USD 39.4 million) in funding, including €20.6 million from the Digital Europe Program, the project aims to develop multilingual large language models (LLMs).
