Astral has launched Pyx, a native Python package registry and the first component of its next-generation infrastructure for the Python ecosystem, the Astral platform. Pyx optimizes the uv package manager, serving not only as a package registry but also solving problems beyond the scope of traditional package registries, such as increased speed, enhanced security, and GPU support. Currently live with early partners including Ramp, Intercom, and fal, Pyx aims to deliver a next-generation Python experience for teams.
