A better approach involves engineers prioritizing tasks based on value, cost, and feasibility, even reframing solutions to reduce costs. For example, the case study shows an engineer opting for a weekly email instead of building a complex dashboard, delivering some value early before tackling more complex tasks. This significantly improves value realization, allowing teams to create more value in a shorter timeframe.
