The Compound File Binary Format (CFBF), also known as Compound Document Format, is a compound document file format that stores numerous files and streams within a single disk file. Resembling a FAT filesystem, it's composed of sectors, a File Allocation Table (FAT), directories, and various sector types including FAT sectors, MiniFAT sectors, Double-Indirect FAT sectors, directory sectors, and stream sectors.
